As part of the Covenant Fund's Reaching and Supporting Armed Forces Communities 2023/24 initiative, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, Fusiliers Aid Society, has been awarded a 3 year grant to better support its Regimental Family and the wider infantry and veteran community.

Infantry Connect will follow the tested ‘Fusilier Connect’ digital community hub model and enable growth across 5 new Infantry Associations onto the Military App platform. This will significantly grow the peer network & memberships, and build a new, digital welfare resource to support members and assist regimental welfare teams.

The project will support the onboarding costs of five new regiments and will fund the development and content population of a ‘Support Module’ and an ‘I need help’ alert and step-by-step Wizard within the App. To assist in this project the grant will support the costs of a Community Manager and Welfare Officer.

This project seeks to transform the support offered to the wider Regimental Family by RHQs and Associations, giving members access to an advanced signposting library and database of support providers.

To date we have seen a number of Infantry Regiments join the Military App platform and look forward to welcoming the Royal Anglian Regiment and the Op Belonging Foreign and Commonwealth community in September 2024.

The Fusiliers Aid Society and the Military App team would like to thank the AFCFT for this transformational grant and opportunity.
