The Royal Tank Regiment (RTR) has proudly rolled out 'RTR Connect,' their dedicated community on the Military App, as of Monday, 8th May. This strategic digital initiative has quickly rallied an impressive 1000 members, linking serving soldiers, veterans, and their families in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The launch of RTR Connect marks a pivotal moment in the RTR's ongoing commitment to unite the Regimental family. The platform's immediate popularity is a testament to its relevance and necessity in fostering familial bonds within the military community.
Brigadier Gavin Thompson, Colonel Commandant of the RTR, emphasised the importance of connection within the Regiment:
"We need to connect better the serving regiment with our veterans, this application allows up to do that... through this application we can connect the family, the RTR family even together even better"
Echoing this sentiment, Capt (Retd) Dean Hutton, Regimental Secretary RTR, highlighted the Military App's alignment with their objectives:
"Our Veterans Strategy necessitated a platform that could engage swiftly and effectively. After a thorough assessment of digital platforms utilised across the Army, the Military App stood out as the preeminent choice to support our vision. The exceptional service from Allegr and the palpable excitement within our Regimental and Association groups affirm that we are on the right track."
RTR Connect has been designed not just as a digital space but as a central hub for the RTR family to congregate, share, and support each other. Its swift adoption and the active involvement of families underscore the platform's value in enriching the Regiment's community spirit.
As RTR Connect continues to grow, the Regiment looks forward to fortifying the bonds of fellowship and support that are the hallmarks of the Royal Tank Regiment's storied heritage.
